Access Problem: "Server error:..." OR "...Client closed connection"

Using Win98SE on a home network through a router to a DSL
connection. No problems for months and suddenly cannot
access the web site with FrontPage version 3.0.2.926 from
any of three computers that previously worked fine. I
even disconnected one computer and tried using a dial-up
connection. All scenarios get same symptoms alternately
at random: "Server error: An error occurred accessing your
FrontPage web files ... Webmasters-please see the server's
system log for more details." OR "Server error: Client
closed connection" The webmaster in another location has
no problems accessing and is using Win98SE with FrontPage
2000 v.4.0.2.2717. As usual, nobody remembers making any
changes! Have searched MicroSoft Knowledgebase to no
avail. Any suggestions?

I don't think I am using a proxy server. Where do I check
proxy settings and what should they be? The web master
(also somewhat a novice) says the server log files don't
seem to indicate anything. What is he looking for? Thanks
for any help. Jim
