How to access OL and public folders from .NET app

I need to accomplish the following from with a VB.NET app:
1. Access current OL profile's Global Address List and Contacts to obtain
email/fax information
2. Access aemail/contacts in a selected public folder for email/fax to
obtain information
3. Use user's OL profile to send email via Exchange server and fax via MS
shared fax

Any suggestion and sample codes are greatly appreciated
