Where are the Access object bitmaps stored?

Hi! Does anybody know where to find the bitmaps Access 2000 uses to
represent the different Access object under the Database window? I'm talking
about the icons for the different tables, queries, etc.

For Access 2.0, 95, 97 the images were in a long bitmap embedded into the
msaccess.exe. But in Access 2000 (and above) this bitmap is no longer
present. The closest images I can get are from the icons in the EXE, but
they are not exactly the same, not even in size.

For example, the resource ID #258 and #291 in msaccess.exe (Access 97), are
icon picture strips (992x19, 1302x32), which were the icons for the
different objects (tables, queries, forms,...).

Where are these images stored now and how I can access them? I have searched
these icons and bitmap resources in other DLLs to not avail.

Can't answer that question, but ICON SEARCHER is a great tool to find, view
and save any and all icons on your PC. Its cheap and easy.

Thanks Alex, I think a picture will better explain my case. This is the
picture you won't find in msaccess.exe. That picture is in used by Access at
runtime under the Database Window. So, where is it getting it from?

Thanks dch3, I have been using the resource editors and icon extractor
programs for a while, but the icons Access uses under the Database Window
are nowhere to be found. You may want to watch closely by zooming-in until
see them at the pixel level. I included a picture of the actual icons Access
uses to represent the objects, which are not the same you get with the icon
extractor utilities. For all previous version of Access (97, 95, 2.0...) all
the correct icons were saved as a bitmap resource within the EXE (and Yes,
the icons from the same EXE were different from the icons on the bitmap).
But Access 2000 and above no longer have these bitmaps.

Below is the picture of the icons the Access database window actually uses
(but where can I find them?)

Try ICON SEARCHER, it retrieves all versions of a particular Icon that's
included even the small version.

I downloaded the program and searched for the icons in the EXE, and I'm
telling you the icons used by the Access database window are not exactly the
same I found in the EXE. Again, I have been using this kind of tools before.
Check my original post for details.

P.S.: By the way, I did not like the IconSearcher program.

hi,
I think this one goes from either office or windows, perhaps it somehow
related to listview control, also used in DB window
