Hear is the problem. I have a excel spreadsheet with 2165 records
(firstname, lastname, address, etc). I need to reduce the mailing list
to one mailing per household, so therefore I need to merge firstname
when the last name is the same and the street address is the same. I
will import to access to run the mailing label report but I am new to
access (ultimate 2007) and need help. Please be gentle.

You do know that you can use mailing labels with Word accessing data from
Excel dont you?

I am experimenting with that now, but although I can sort out
duplicates I cannot combine the first name field (i.e. husband and
wife). I could probably make it work but it is not really what I want.
