I am using MS Access 2007 on Vista and am unable to login to any database. I
can not even create a blank database as it opens a logon dialog box
requesting Username and Password. Anything I put in there (blanks included)
comes back with a "Not a valid account name or password". I uninstalled
Access and reinstalled it. I am not connected to any servers or any other
network, other than the internet. Does anyone know of some user account /
security setting that I can reset. I don't see any toolbars or menus other
than the default Office button at the top left of the window.

Before you uninstall/reinstall one more time, first find all
occurrences of system.mdw and rename them. More than likely you have
accidentally tinkered with this file before you downloaded, studied,
and fully understood the Microsoft Security FAQ from microsoft.com

Tom, thanks for your message. There was, however, no system.mdw files on my
computer...care to try again.
