I'm having problems with some third party software and
the tech wants me to rename a shared folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application DatafFoldername
Access is denied to this folder. Is this by default?
I wanted to find out before I reply to the tech support email.

James

The equivalent path on Vista is

C:\ProgramData\FolderName

The access denied message will be from trying to open up junctions /
symlinks (eg C:\Documents and Settings), which essentially do the work of
mapping the path you gave to the above one.
