Hi,

I recently dropped my entire AD and recreated using the same domain name. One of the users on the network set explicit permissions to a folder on the local machine for her own login account. The result is, since the AD was dropped .. and hence the users SID .. nobody has access to that directory. Taking ownership doesn't seem to realise access to the folder. Any suggestions?

after you take ownership make sure you give yourself (admin) rights to
the folder. sence the creater owners sids are gone and the admin was
takin out there is no security group with rights to the folder.
