OS XP Home SP2. I need to access an Iomega 120 GB external drive from
safe mode to regain ownership to some of the files on this drive after
reinstalling XP Home. The drive connects via fire wire. Can anyone
please tell me how to tell windows to load this drive up in safe mode.

By default, Windows does not load drivers for such devices in the Safe
Mode. Create a new hardware profile and disable all unneeded devices
here.
