Access Errors

I am having an issue with Access 2003. I am on Windows XP. I am a technical user, not a programmer.

I have a form that when a record is updated, several actions come to a halt:

1) it will not allow us to advance to the next record. An error is received "You can't go to the specified record".

2) if you click "X" to close the form, an error is received "You can't save this record at this time. MS Access may have encountered an error while trying to save the record. If you close the record now your data changes will be lost..."

3) you can not view the form in "design view"

We have another Access database that does not have these issues. A consultant I worked with thinks the above errors are related to the same problem.

Can anyone please provide some insight as to what the issue could be?

Thanks!
