Access equivalent to Excel's CLEAN function

Using Office 2003 and Windows XP;

MS-Excel has a worksheet function called CLEAN; as well as a VBA function
called CLEAN both of which can be used to remove unprintable characters from
a string.

Are there equivalent functions in MS-Access? If so, what are they? Can
someone please post them?
