Helo everyone,

I Installed the AccessDeveloper software and Runtime Components for Access
2007. I did this because I want to create an installer for a database.

However, I get no errors during the install but the Access Developer options
are not available in the Access menu's. I tried activating it as an add in
but that didn't work.

When I start access it displays a message stating I don't have
VisualSourceSafe installed. I can't succeed in finding a remedy for that. In
the MSDN instructions no installation of Visual SourceSafe is mentioned so I
doubt if that is the problem.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance.

That's one of the links at Microsoft Office Access 2007 Developer
Edition FAQ

This one I have no idea.

Either (disable or uninstall) Visual Source Safe integration --
or install Visual Source Safe.

Visual Source Safe integration has a very poor reputation --
if your Access MDB is so complex that you want Source Safe,
it is too big and slow for the integration interface to handle.

Source Safe is a multi-user file-system database, I don't
think it is included in any free products.

Source Safe integration handles each form in your
database separately, which would be good if it worked
properly. Source Safe integration was supposed to provide
a multi-user database to store forms and reports, so that
you could have multiple developers developing forms and
reports, but since the integration process works so poorly,
that is not an option.
