Access Denied, Unable to connect

We have several WinXP Pro clients that suddenly can no longer print
from a Win2000 Server shared printer. The thing that seems to fix it is
as follows:

Delete printer
Release/Renew DHCP license
Reboot
Add printer back on

Problem solved.

Cannot figure out why this happening all of a sudden.
