I have recently installed two new workstations running w2k sp4 and on 1 of
them, sharing a printer attached to the lpt port. I can see the printer from
other workstations in the workgroup but when I try to click it during the add
printer wizard, get this message "could not connect to the printer, access is
denied". This appears to be some kind of permission issue but I haven't run
accross this in any previous installs. The printer works just fine locally.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

I had the same problem. My problem was fixed by removing
W2K SP4 security rollup package, then installing the W2K SP4 security rollup
package V2 (Windows2000-KB891861-v2-x86-ENU) and then reapplying the hotfixes
installed after the rollup package.
