I've got a couple of Win 2K clients and I'm trying to access the files on a
WinXP Home peer. I can mount the volume and see the top directory structure
of the XP peer but when I try to open one of the directories on the XP peer,
I'm told that that directory is not accessible.

There is an account on the XP machine for the user name under which I'm
logged onto the Win2K machine as well as the reverse. Also, I can get from
the XP machine to the Win2K machines without problem as well as from either
W2K machine to the other. The only issue is from the W2K machines accessing
the WXP.

Any ideas why I can't get to the XP machine from the Win2K machines?

Thanks in advance,
David

Access denied is your only error message and nothing in the log?
If the credentials are correct, is the firewall enabled?
Do you have any other FW or IDS blocking it?

Which log are you referring to? Also, this is on my LAN so would the
firewall be relevant? Again, I can get from the XP client to the others just
fine. Not sure what you mean by 'IDS'.

Thanks,
David
