Is there a way to get Access data, a report maybe, into powerpoint easily?

Our leadership want project updates on a regular basis via projector. The
existing standard is powerpoint. Is there another way to present a
report/data on a projector without having to load up the database. The
slideshow links in from other slideshows.

Whatever the boss wants, she gets.

Take a look at The Access 2000 Developer's Handbook, Vol. 1, page 961. It's
the only place that I have found that discusses PowerPoint Automation.
