HI Please forgive my ignorance as I am a really newbie to this side of

computers but wish I wasnt. Recently we upgraded to Broadband from a
dial-up modem. Not a prob, great speed. Everything working well until
I decided to trial the NIS 2006 as recommended on Paradise home page.
I installed it per instructions wizard, and ran it. Problem is now I
cant access any E-mail pages or web pages. I contacted Paradise who
suggested contacting Symantec, as they said it sounded like a security
block. Symantec told me to take it out, which I did but my access
setting are still screwed up somewhere. They cant help me now as I dont

have their product in my system! Im stuck as I dont know enough about
the system to correct myself. Paradise have checked my settings and
server details and all is correct. I can ping but still not receive
actual information. It goes away, and tries but It keeps telling me
"Page cannot be displayed"....Very frustrating...cant get on-line to
findout so am using a cafe computer. Any help in plain-speak would be
greatly appreciated. I have learnt a lot about my setting and system
by this happening but cant fix. Thanks

Donna

You got what you paid for.

There's more to do than simply uninstalling NIS 2006. See

Yes thanks, I appreciate that, but I was under instruction from
Symantec to uninstall it as it was from their product this issue
happened. I'll have to take it in to someone with some knowledge as I
cant access the internet to download files to remove files, etc.
Thanks for your assistance.

Uninstalling NIS via A/RP leaves tons of stuff behind. See this page:
