You can use an Access 2007 client application to SQL Server 2005 Express,
via ODBC (which is included with Windows or Access). If Access has filled
your needs before, why would you want to invest the (quite considerable)
time and effort to learn Visual Studio, then the (quite considerable) time
and effort to create a solution with Visual Studio to interact with the
Access database?
