Is it possible to covert the Access 2007 Customer Service Template for use
with Access 2003? Using the "Convert to Access 2002-2003" button I get an
error message saying "You can not save this database to an earlier format
because it uses features that require the current file format". Should I
disable certain functions to allow conversion?

Or if anyone has a suggestion for a "help line" and/or "customer service"
template I could use it would be most appreciated. (This is for a non-profit
health help line state organization in Oregon).

FYI I am using Access 2007 B2TR with both Windows XPSP2 and Windows VistaRC1.

Have you looked at the 2003 templates available? If you open Access 2003 and
click on the new database icon, the help task area will give you a hyperlink
to Templates on Office Online. Last time I looked there were 25 available
for download.

That template makes use of the new 'multi-value field' feature and the new
attachment field type. Modifying it to make it compatible with earlier
versions would require some quite fundamental redesign of the tables and the
relationships between them, which in turn would require significant
modification of the user interface elements such as forms and reports to
work with the redesigned database. Basically, you'd have to tear it apart
and then piece it back together again. I'm not sure that this would be any
easier or faster than starting from scratch.
