Version 5??? Very strange.
Open the code window.
Choose References on the Tools menu
Uncheck the DAO reference.
Okay the dialog.
Close and restart Access.
Open the code window, and References again.
Check the box beside:
Microsoft DAO 3.6 Library
This assumes you are still dealing with an MDB, i.e. you have not converted
your database to an ACCDB. If you have, you need:
Microsoft Office 2007 Access database engine Object Library
