Hi,

I have encrypted an Access ACCDB database and when I opened up it up in
Notepad, across the top the message said "M i c r o s o f t B a s e C r y
p t o g r a p h i c P r o v i d e r v 1 . 0". My confusion is based on
the Microsoft link,

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec...3e54b36f4.mspx

which explicitly states that the cryptographic service provider (CSP) is
Microsoft Enhanced RSA and AES Cryptographic Provider. The cryptographic
algorithm is AES-128, and the cryptographic key length is 128-bit (which can
be upped to 256 via the registry).

Does anyone know how can I begin using the Enhanced RSA and AES
Cryptographic Provider instead of the base provider which provides much less
protection? There appears to be nothing on the web about this.

Thank you
