A comment and a question

To anyone who is using conditional formatting, beware that in Access
2007 the color pallette is not the same as the color pallette in Access
2003. So if you have a particular color you were using as a standard
throughout your application, the only way to continue using that color
is to code the color.

Anyone else notice how forms in Access 2007 display the conditional
formatting much slower than in Access 2003? (I have one particular
form so far in my Access 2007 testing that only shows the conditional
formatting wherever the mouse cursor is currently residing.)

The RGB color values in Access 2007 are displayed in Hex format, which is a
fairly widely used standard, e.g. web developers are familiar with this. But
the color values are essentially the same as in previous versions.

The old color values consist of a long integer that is generated by
combining the Red, Green, and Blue bytes. The RGB function did that, e.g.:
RGB(btRed, btGreen, btBlue)
The A2007 version shows the same long integer in hex format, e.g. Hex(btRed)

A2007 also defines a few special values for system colors. Older versions of
Access had these special values also, but they were not published.

Programmatically, you can modify the ForeColor and BackColor of the
FormatCondition to any value you like.
