Access 2007 - Changing the DB password in Runtime

Hi,

I have a split DB where both the Frontend and Backend are 'Encrypted' i.e.
they have password control. The DB runs on a computer that does not have
access and therefore was packaged up via the Access Developers Extension -
All works fine.....

Now I want to implement functionality to allow the user to change the
password in the Frontend and have written a routine that works only if I open
the DB exclusively i.e. if I use Access 2007 to open the non Runtime version
in exclusive mode it works fine. As soon as I apply this to the Runtime
version I receive the message indicating the DB is not open exclusively.

It might be that 'I cannot see the wood for the trees', but would appreciate
any input on how to get around this.

Thanks in advance.

Kirk
