Access 2003 Table Problem

Our database has stopped storing new records. We have 912 records in a simple
one table access database and new records can be typed in but are not stored.
This happens when typed into the table or input through the input screen form.

I can't see any table properties restricting the number of records. Anyone
got any ideas I could try?

Thanks

Do you get an error message? A beep? anything?

There is no limit on number of records, other than the 2 billion byte limit on
the total size of the database. I rather doubt you're anywhere near that.

Try compacting the database - Tools... Database Utilities... Compact and
Repair, in A2003 and earlier; I believe it's under the Office button in 2007.

Thanks for your advice and it is reassuring to know there are no limits. I
have actually solved the problem now which might be of interest to you. There
was no primary key plus the first field (text) was blank throughout the
database. I can only assume that Access got muddled as when I put in an
autonumber primary key and deleted the blank first field it now retains all
further information.

Another potentially dangerous example of an amateur being allowed to blag
his way into creating a secure database for vital company records!

Thanks for your help
