PC: DELL DUAL CORE, ~2 GHZ, RAM 1GB
Access 2003 SP3
MySecure.MDW
Office Detect & Repair = O.K.
Startup Time is about ~20-25 seconds....too much
Reason: Antivirus...?, or something others ?

First, work your way thought the following list of issues:

http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/performancefaq.htm

I would also try disconnecting your computer from the network + internet,
and re-boot.

Do you still get a long startup time?

Often during startup, you might have a default printer that is on your
network (and eve perhaps not even available). Access will try to get
information about the default printer..and it often can slow things down.
Same goes for linked tables that don't exist (such as being mapped to a
drive).

So, try starting things up with no network connection, and check your
default printer settings.

So, try working though the above list, and check things like mapped drives
and default printer...

If this is one particular MDB then it could be in need of a decompile.

Decompile or how to reduce Microsoft Access MDB/MDE size and decrease
start-up times
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/decompile.htm

Hi, thanks for the answer...net-OK, printers-ok,...
This Solution is the RIGHT solution:
PC-Registry, REMOVE ALL 'ACCESS'-KEYS...and now Startup 1 Second !!!!
*****************************************************
In Detect and repair is 'restore -default', but i found it too late.
and i do not now , if it is the same my solution....

You may not have understood his message, which was slightly
cryptic. What he tried to say was that the correct solution was
to restore the default installation.

And that he did this by removing all the Access registry keys,
which, as you know, forces Access to restore the default registry
keys.

And that he now knows this wasn't the obvious way to go about
it, but he didn't realise until after.

I have removed all 'Access' keys in the registry
....you are right, it is NOT the BEST
My startup time NOW ~ 1 seconds
**************************
It works also detect and repair , plus Restore **defaults settings**
but you CAN NOT restore ONLY ACCESS settings...
