Im curious, how will databases that currently operate in Access 2003 be able
to convert to Office 12? or is this going to just give me another challenge
in my day to day work.

Life is a challenge, isn't it? I can't speak to running Office 12 on Vista
as that's NDA, but I can say that all of my Office 97, 2000, 2002, and 2003
have worked so far in the beta's of Office 12. There have been a few
glitches during conversions to the new format, but they have all run fine as
native Access 2000/2002 formats.

Every new version of Access has had the ability to convert older files or work
with them without converting them. I see no reason to believe that Access 12
will be any different in this respect.

Another hint: (you won't have to upgrade).

This won't be a challenge.
