Most likely the reason the Imaging ActiveX controls do not work i
because whenever Internet Explorer is installed, and sometimes whe
Internet Explorer is updated, a registry setting is set to prevent th
ActiveX Control from running. A very early version of the Imagin
ActiveXs were declared 'Safe for Scripting' inaccurately. To prevent
security breech, Internet Explorer prevents the ActiveX Control fro
running. This problem was corrected n years ago and the controls are n
longer marked 'Safe for Scripting'.
In order to overcome this registry setting, reset the Compatibilit
Flags value to 0.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Active
Compatibility\CLSID of the ActiveX control
*where CLSID of the ActiveX Control is the class identifier of th
appropriate ActiveX control.
If you are running the purchasable version of the Kodak Imaging Active
Controls, they are available via eiStream at eiStream.com. There is a
update available for versions 2.6, 2.7, 2.8 for removing the killbi
setting.
I hope his helps you out
