I have a very small database linked to about 5gb of data via ODBC to FoxPro
database. While creating many queries I'm causing the database to lock up
and get the 'Not Responding' message. The facts are as follows: The 5gb+ of
linked data resides on the same PC (for development purposes only), as well
as a very small AccessBackend database. The AccessFrontEnd file being used
to develop the queries is only about 4mb. I'm running WinXP OS, 512mb ram,
Access 2000. When I open a standard select query once to review the data -
it bumps the memory up to about 100mb but opens as expected. I can close the
query and when I reopen the same query - Access locks up. I have tried
pulling all the objects into a new blank database, I have the code compiled,
I'm at a loss. Any and all suggestions welcome! Thanks.
