I've got a mobile device connected via RF Lan to our corporate
network.
however i dont seem to be able to access shares on other computers
using a standard unc path ie \\1.1.1.1\share.
if i use a computer name instead it works.

any ideas

Andy

Try playing with the setting "My Network Card Connects to..."
My guess is that you have it set to "Work"

I don't seem to be able to use IP addresses to specify the server to connect
to, either. I've tried this directly from C and I get error 53 (network
path not found), when I call WNetEnumResource() to try to get the list of
shares on the server. It looks like the WNet calls are assuming NetBIOS
names and won't accept anything lower-level...
