Accepting/Rejecting tasks in Outlook

I've set a task folder for each engineer. I used the folder assistant to set
it so that we get an email if someone assigns a new task. So, I get an email
when someone enters a task for me, but is there a way to "accept" or "reject"
the task? if so, is there an automated way of sending a response back to the
person assigning the task
letting them know if I accepted or rejected the task?

Thank you

p.s. i'm using Office 2003
