ACCDE database running slow

After deploying a ACCDE database on a network I am experiencing some delays
when more than one person has the database open. I did not experience any
issues prior to creating and deploying the ACCDE. I am having the users open
the same database from a shared network drive. Would it be advisable to have
the ACCDE on the desktop and execute it from there?

Hi Don,
A split database is needed for several users using your database on a
network.
This link explains how to split your database.

Here is a link that shows to get the best performance from your split
database.

Thanks for the advise but I had already split the database sometime ago. This
is really perplexing to me. Even when I am in the original database that I
made the ACCDE copies from I have extremely slow responses if someone else
has the ACCDE open. Even editing a report takes forever. I never had this
problem in older versions of Access.

I've experienced similar problems after converting from an accdb to an accde. Split db backend on a windows network, front end installed each login on users desktop. The accdb runs like a champ (very fast), but the freshly made accde runs like garbage. For now I'm gonna stick with the accdb.
