How do I hide whole database window when the database opens and what code do
I type in to unhide the window

To prevent the Nav Pane from showing when the database starts, go to:
Office Button | Access Options | Current Database
In the Navigation section, uncheck the box for:
Display Navigation Pane.

You may be able to show the nav pane later with:
DoCmd.SelectObject acForm, Me.Name
However, that won't work if the Forms section of the nav pane is collapsed.
