An Abundance of $NTUnistall Stuff

In my Widows folder, there are over a hundred $NTUnistall folders. Some
dated back to 2005. The most recent is from the installation of SP3 which
went in well and seems to be working just fine. No hotfixes or other 'KB'
types are shown in Add/Remove Programs except for some security patches for
IE and WMP.

My question is, can I delete all those others except for the one resulting
from the SP3 install? After a few weeks of running with SP3 I will probably
want to get rid of that one also. (Like the fireman on Penny Lane, I try to
keep a clean machine.)

Thank you very much.

These folders and associated files in these folders are safe to remove,
however once deleted you will no longer be able to un-install a patch,
update or
Service Pack that was associated with the deleted folder/files.

I would keep the SP3 related folder (and any patches after you installed
SP3) and delete the older updates.
As a safety net I burned these folders to a CD before deleting them.

Warning: One folder you should not delete is: $hf_mig$
