I have recently had a problem where a page that was originally created in
Word then cut and pasted into FP2002 closes immediately after trying to
open.

The same problem occurs in Word as well. The only work around was to open
the page in notepad and copy only the basic text and re-format in FP. I
think it has something to do with the imbedded picture. Any Ideas?

That is the best approach, create or paste the text into FP, and use FP to format it.
