Hi,
When I am saving, it says that pressing Esc will abort, but it seems to do
nothing.
How can I stop a save? The only way I have found so far is to stop Excel
from Task Manager.
Thanks
Roger

Pressing Esc in that dialog box cancels the save. But once a save has
started, you can't interrupt it.

And you don't want to. An interrupted save (such as you create with
Task Mangler) leaves behind an incomplete file, probably a corrupted
one.

Thanks Stan,
I find this very confusing. The status line says "Press Esc to cancel", but
I guess this is just a cruel joke. Excel 2007 is taunting me while it takes
30 minutes to save a file.

You are right about the file being corrupted, but when saving takes so long,
there is sometimes little choice. It is quicker to start again than wait for
a save.

Thanks
Roger
