I attempted to install XP over 2000 on an IBM thinkpad
240. Could not get XP to run but files were left on
laptop and every time I boot up it asks whether I want to
run XP or 2000. 2000 works, XP does not. Any way to
remove the XP files without messing computer up?

Hi,

Are you sure that you are seeing a menu which asks u
which os u wnat to boot into. then you have to edit the
boot.ini file and delete the line which points to xp.
