Over the past several months, Outlook has increasingly exited the program
while just trying to exit an e-mail, and often won't allow me to multiple
select e-mail messages for deletion or moving to a folder without opening
each one selected. no rhyme or reason to how many messages selected or when
it does it. Problem seems to be gradually getting worse. Virus or glitch?
All virus software functioning well. Getting very annoying.

Does it work correctly in Outlook Safe Mode;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe

What is logged to the Event Viewer about this?

Outlook 2003, Student- Teacher edition

POP/SMTP with local ISP

Have not tried safe mode or checked event viewer. Will try those.
