Would really appreciate your help in this:

I am able to ping IP addresses and also websites like www.google.com, www.yahoo.com through the CMD prompt

But not able to browse through IE, Firefox or Chrome..

Really tried everything - typing this on another laptop connected to the same network.

Pls help

What is, or who is, your internet security program ... Norton McCrapie are very good at blocking access to the Tinternet.

Are you getting any Network Errors such as 2, 102, 104, and 105 ?

Malware is a frequently culprit for blocking access. Error 124?

Thanks for the rply and welcome!

Turns out that Norton Firewall is the culprit indeed - I had disabled windows firewall but found that Norton was enabled.

Now after disabling Norton, I am able to browse. Thanks!!
