Ability to remotely install programs

Hello everyone,

I am sure there is a way, and I am sure MS has a way, but for some reason, I
have been drawing a blank.

I was wondering if there is a way to "remotely" install a program onto a
desktop, both Microsoft and NON-Microsoft.

I am in the process of converting PC's, about 150 (all different types, but
all XP Pro) from a Terminal server session to local desktops.

I have a total of 53 programs to install on EACH desktop. While some of the
the programs are very simple installed, Client Server type installs which
just install some DLL's register some DLL's and then put an icon on the
desktop, I have other programs like, QuickBooks 2000 through 2007 to
install.

Then, I have things like MS Office, Office Communicator and the like to
install.

Have to configure Outlook to use users info.

So, basically, it takes me about 4 - 6 hours, to install and update all the
software PER PC.

There has to be a better way.

Any idea's thoughts?

Thanks

Les
