I have an new installation of Windows Server 2008 (Vista). If I connect to
the server via a dial-up connection using RRAS and start a Remote Console
Session and ping another machine on the network from the remote (dialing)
system, the Windows Server abends with a minidump. There are no messages
logged in the event logs.

Almost all setting a defaults. The security wizard was run, and the
firewall has been temporarily disabled.

Sorry, I can't help you with your problem but I haven't seen the word 'abend'
for many a long year.

You made my day!
