Right, my dodgy mail issue is back. Any HTML emails sent to me from Outlook
appear as plain text and attachments are missing. I know for a fact that the
gateway server they go through does NOT turn them into RTF or anything... It
was all working fine and then it stopped. I am beginning to assume it's a
problem intermittently caused by Norton AV (360 v3.0 I'm running). I have
disabled email scanning but no dice.

Anyone suggest a better AV for Vista?

Beac

Maybe the Sender is sending it in Plain Text. Have you asked first

Request that anyone using Outlook only send messages to you using Plain Text
(not HTML or RichText) format, especially if there's an attachment.

Have you examined the source code of the message that appear to be
missing its attachment (Ctrl+F3)? If "Winmail.dat" is present, than
something is encoding the attachment with RTF format.
