Hi all,

since 2 days my before good working system has very long times on the
BIOS startup screen where you see the logo A8V Deluxe.

After minutes it does boot.

I noticed it said CMOS bad crc.

After this problem appeared I cleared CMOS by pulling the battery and
installing afterwards.

I get no warning anymore. But the boot time remains very long.

What could be the problem and how could I solve this?

Regards

Rene

I would open the case, unplug all USB devices, IDE, SATA, FD and leave only
memory and graphic card.
It should boot normally, but in negatice case, go for a new BIOS.
After this firtst test, go plugging one by one IDE, SATA, FD and USB
devices.
When you find the system is again too slow booting, remember what was the
last device plugged and find out about.
