I'm using RAID1 on the Via controller (only), but you don't need to use RAID
at all on either driver.

I believe that you'll need to install drivers for the Promise controller if
you wish to use that, but not the RAID drivers.

HTH.

Address may be scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.

Use the Via Sata connection and disable the Promise controller in bios
settings. The Promise controller slows down the boot if it is enabled.

Hi, however do not overclock if you use the Via Sata otherwise you might end
up with HD corruption......

If it will boot at all... seems like the pci clock lock doesn't work
somehow??
Mine's a rev.2.0 as well.... ho hum! Good job the promise controller seems
ok.
Cheers
