I installed xp, installed the drivers from the asus support cd (including
cool and quiet), made the changes in the bios and in xp power management for
cool and quiet but when I install the cool and quiet utility, I get a
message, 'failed to install io driver'.

I did see some people had this problem with other utilities as well but did
not really see why?

Has anyone experienced this also?

I have had problems with almost all of the drivers on the CD for my
A8Ve including Cool & Quiet. Try downloading directly from the AMD
website. Has worked well for me.
