Hi All,
I have a problem with my system which has just recently started happening!!
when I first turn it on (after night time / or long period of pc being off)
I switch on and get what sounds like a long beep with two very quick ones
following.
Now I have looked on the net and the only thing I can find is one long beep
and two short ones means a video error.
The thing is if I press the reset button or power off then back on the pc
boots up fine (single beep).Games run perfect and everything is ok.
Is there any way I can check my video card to see if there is a problem with
that or any other tests i can run to see where this problem is coming from ?
my machine is as follows
Asus an8-e - mobo
amd athlon 64 3500 - processor
xfx geforce 6800 gt pci-e - g.card
120gb maxtor - hd
2x512 mb elixir - memory
pioneer dvd/cd rw
Any help would be greatly appreciated
cheers
HB

What kind of power supply are you using? Inadequate power could cause
power-up problems like that..
