Thanks for all your help Paul. I had a corrupt BIOS, I flashed to the new
1003 and now the multiplier reads 9 as I set it, not reading 10 when I, in
fact, it was set to 9. Had a bit of a scare, though, the system wouldn't
boot with the new BIOS until I removed the CMOS battery and reset the BIOS.
Now everthing seems fine and I can start tweaking from here. I'll post my
results in awhile. BTW, whatever I had left of my hair I've pulled out in
the past couple of days
