How exactly do i install a dual channel ram kit on this board.do i just
install the memory modules side by side in the first bank of two slots
nearest to the CPU or do i put one dimm in each of the blue slots, which in
this case would be bank 1-blue and bank 2-blue.
once again thanks in advance

I did read the manual and also figured out from it that you either use
banks 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 HOWEVER
I am also considering an equivalent MSI board and they use bank 1 slot 0
and 1 for dual channel configuration, so this is why I was confused. One
would logically think that the Asus configuration would be right??
thanx

Some motherboard manufacturers use 1&2 or 3&4, but Asus uses 1&3 or 2&4.
Neither one is right or wrong, it just depends on how they laid out and
wired the motherboard.

I used slots 2&4 on my A8N-E to keep the memory clear of the heatpipes on my
Thermalright XP-120. It would have fit on slots 1&3, but probably runs a bit
cooler away from the heatpipes.
