A8N-E Bios question (PCI clock fix)

Hi,

I have read that A8N-SLI boards are known to have problems regarding the
pci clock fix to 33.33 MHz in (all?) bios versions.

Does this relate to the A8N-E version of the board to? If so: How can I
check my pci clock?

I have o'ced my X2 3800 to 2400 MHz (10 x 240 MHz, HTT 4) and set the
PCI clock to 33.33 MHz.

I am a bit unsure if I should trust this pci clock fix now after what I
have read.

Anyone?

Thanks!
Andreas

I believe if you set the clock speed in the BIOS the PCI clock will be
properly locked. If you overclock with AI Booster or nTune from Windows,
it may not be. If you start up nTune it will warn you if the PCI bus is
set to track the HT bus. It seems that you must both set the PCI bus
clock to 33.3 and set the HT bus speed to a non-standard value to get
the PCI bus to be locked.

I posted the original question about that issue with the A8N-SLI. Ntune
does not report the PCI bus speed correctly on those boards under some
circumstances. I do not know if this is also true of the A8N-E. To
verify your PCI clock speed, use Clockgen:

33.34

So I guzess it's okay now.

NTune does not give me a PCI clock speed at all (not available!).
