I was just about to go the shop and try to get the DiamondMax drive
replaced (this was the final advice from Maxtor as no firmware was
update forthcoming) when I saw that a new BIOS was available. Downloaded
it, flashed, put the Maxtor drive and ..... WHOOPEE disk recognised by
the BIOS. Only been running a day and a half, but so far no problems.
