I keep reading at various forums that this board is giving a lot of people
problems. I ordered it last night thinking oh yeah, ASUS is the ****. Then
I come to realize that this specific board isn't too good. I should have
gone with the DFI. I'm wondering how many people here encountered problems?

I don't overclock so that won't be a problem. Everything will be stock.

ASUS A8N-Deluxe
AMD 3200+ 64 Winchester
1GB PC3200 Ballistix memory
74GB Raptor
eVGA 6800GT video card
Antec TruePower 550W PSU

Anyone think I'll encounter problems? I SURE HOPE NOT!

I'm sure you'll be fine, and very pleased with that setup.

If you have any problems, feel free to ask questions here, we'll sort
you out!

Let's recap.
1. You read about a lot of people with problems with this board.
I wouldnt buy a board a lot of people have problems with.
2. You buy the board, because... ASUS is great.
Dude, didn't you say you knew its giving a lot of people problems?
3. Your memory comes back, and you find you are in doubt: did I order
the right board?
4. Then you ask how many people are having problems.
Dude, didn't you start of by saying it was 'a lot'?

Does it read on your screen somewhere IQ_EQUAL_OR_LESS_THAN_ZERO?

For what it's worth, imo the board is fine.

Hey,
I Configured a system using the same MoBo and didn't run into any problems.
About a month ago now and the system runs without any hickups..

Most of the problems I've seen on these boards are not unique to the
Asus model. There are some nForce4-specific issues (some people have
problems with Maxtor DiamondMax 10 hard drives for example) - also, lots
of problems appear to be due to insufficient case cooling or a power
supply that's too weak.

I built a system with the A8N-Deluxe and a Maxtor Diamondmax 10 and had a
problem with bios revision1003. Have not had any problem with bios revisions
1004 or 1006. Have had no other problems.
This is a great board.

I too have had the A8N-SLI Deluxe with a Maxtor SATA drive running 100%
flawless for 2+ months now. Absolutely the best board I've ever used in 10
years.
Btw, those who have trouble with Maxtor SATA drives should contact Maxtor.
This is not a board problem, but a harddrive firmware problem. Maxtor has
sent new firmwares to those few with problem and it has fixed the problem
every time.
