I have been using this feature (Standby) on a couple of computers for as
long as it has been available. My thinking is that this is a power
saving compromise to leaving it run all of the time. On my Asus P4T-E
(bought circa 2000) nothing seemed to wake it up unless I actually
touched the keyboard or jiggled the mouse and then it snapped to life.
On my A8N I have noticed that when I get up in the morning it has come
out of standby presumably on it's own at some point through the night.
Is it possible to check all my processes in one location somewhere
(WinXP Pro) and switch a few things off (I am thinking that something is
scheduled to turn it on early in the morning) but I have unable to find
what it is or is this a quirk with the A8N?
For the last few nights I have using Hibernate and have had no problems
with the A8N using it.
